perun is the project of Warsaw-based DJ Damian Gutowski, named after the Slavic god of thunder. Sets move through house, breaks, techno and electro - slow and textural early, dense and driving at the end.

He started DJing formally in 2024 at Instytut Dźwięku in Warsaw, training under Avtomat - one of Poland's top DJs and producers. Within his first year he was already playing Smolna, one of Warsaw's leading clubs, alongside bookings at Hangar Festival 02 in Bielsko-Biała (Funktion-One system, 1,000 attendees), Salty Pleasure 8 at Hala Odra in Szczecin, and a closing set for Placebo Collective in Warsaw.

In 2025 he completed Radiowa Akademia - Radio Kapitał's experimental radio bootcamp in Warsaw - co-producing three episodes of Blok Klimatyczny, a series exploring climate through field recording, sound collage and conversation.

The crate leans on Cecille Records, Ninja Tune, Feel My Bicep, Tresor, Ostgut Ton, Running Back and Dekmantel. Artists like Midland, Kerrie, Leod, Tiga, Miss Kittin and Hertz appear throughout.
